IRIS team has traveled to ASAG facilities in China to support the installation of the sensor systems developed in MyToolBox project in a pilot silo of 3 tones of capacity. In the framework of the EU-China collaboration, the team has provided help to start up these tests with peanuts, which will complement the ones already done at the Barilla facilities in Italy, aiming to define new strategies to monitor grain quality through combined measurements of temperature, relative humidity and CO2 levels. An evaluation of real scale silos available in ASAG was also performed, trying to establish plans to adapt the monitoring devices to the Chinese storage dimensions, geometries and needs in the upcoming months.
